I want to express my deep appreciation for all of the hard work that was done by those of you that supported this campaign. Your commitment and dedication was humbling to witness. Your love and concern for your neighbors was not unnoticed by me or the Almighty I am sure. The loss was very disappointing but I do not want anyone to be discouraged. You can still make a difference. Please do not think that your effort or time was wasted. Your motives were of the purest intent. You were working for something much greater than a campaign. You were working to extend blessings to families in desperate need of happiness, stability and peace. Please continue to hold our elected officials accountable. Please continue to vote. Please continue to care.

I also want to thank my wife, Melissa. She is an amazing wife and mother. I could not have dreamed up a better friend and partner. Her hard work and sacrifice speaks for itself. I also want to thank my kids, Sydney, Luke, Fletcher and Harper for loving their dad. I am so glad I get to go home to them every night and I want them to know how much I love them. I also want to thank the rest of my family for all of their sacrifice and support. Also, the support and encouragement of my law partners and their families have been invaluable.

I want to extend my congratulations to my opponent; she ran a very effective campaign. I also want to invite her to consider putting into place the programs mentioned here on www.austinburdick.com. If these programs are put into place the families and taxpayers of Jefferson County will be the real winners. I remain willing to help the families of Jefferson County and will gladly offer my services as a mediator to the court at no charge.
